Lake Washington Half & 5k. The Lake Washington Half & 5k begins and ends at Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland Washington. Both distances are loop courses. The 5k loop takes runners out of Juanita Beach park, into the Old Market Street trail. Runners will take a short run looping through the nearby neighborhood before heading back along the Old Market Street trail and finishing at Juanita Beach Park. The half marathon will take the same route as the 5k runners, however once exiting the Old Market Street Park runners head up to Market Street. Runners will then head down 6th to Waverly and wind their way up to the Cross Kirkland Corridor trail. Runners will exit the trail and head back down to Old Market Street and back to Juanita Beach park for the finish. A great run that showcases the best that Kirkland has to offer. The views of Lake Washington are breathtaking all along the course. After their run, runners are treated to a post-race chili and/or vegan soup. Optional beer garden is offered and all proceeds go to support Cascade Challenge a non-profit youth leadership program. www.lakewashingtonhalf.com
